The award winners were chosen after a rigorous selection process. In the first instance, Frost & Sullivan team of technology research analysts short-listed 3-4 leading companies / individuals in each category. Subsequently, a distinguished panel of judges comprising senior executives from Frost & Sullivan services providers. Vendors and trade publication teledotcom deliberated on the candidates before picking the eventual winners.
 
In evaluating the contenders for each of the twenty four awards, a few key criteria and metrics were employed including Operating Revenue Growth, EBITDA Growth, Net Profit Growth, New Customer Count, Customer Satisfaction, Production Innovation, and vision and Leadership.
 
Taking all of the above criteria in to consideration, the panel of judges selection 8 services providers, 13 vendors, 1 telecom regulator and 1 CEO each from a service Provider and vendor (total of 24 awards) to receive the Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific Technology Awards 2004.
